The other day I was chatting it up with a random HubSpot user about one of my favorite onboarding topics, which happens to be the use of HubSpot to post to my social media platforms. Now I went on to tell them how I use the HubSpot, Chrome social extension and how it's my favorite thing when it comes to HubSpot, and posting to my social media platforms. It makes it really easy. And there was that moment, the moment when my mind was literally blown because the HubSpot user looked at me with wonder and said these exact words the HubSpot social media extension, and hey, it was at that very moment in time that I wondered how many other HubSpot users are out in the world who have no clue how easy their social media could be when it comes to posting and using HubSpot to do it. So let the HubSpot social extension tutorial be born. Hey, know what time it is. Now with that story out of the way, I have to ask you the question of all questions. How do you publish your social posts from HubSpot? Do you log in and go to the marking menu then to social and click the Publish button? If so, stick around because this tutorial is going to change your life forever. Okay, maybe it won't change your life forever, but it will help you post to social media in a completely different way and and streamlined way which is highly important because time is money and all that good jazz. So without further ado, let's dig in and show you how to get it done. So here we are in the social tool, but we want to go to social settings. So we're going to hit the Settings icon in in Hotshots infinite wisdom, it's going to take us to the social settings and what we're going to do is go to publishing tab here, and under the publishing tab below where you can actually create your posting schedule. We're gonna see down here at the very bottom there is published from your browser installed The Chrome extension, if you click on that, it's going to take you to the Chrome Web Store. And you're going to see that there is a HubSpot social extension. There's an overview here that you can go through a kind of slideshow, if you will, there are reviews for it. And there's support and related now what you're going to want to do is actually add it to your Chrome browser. Now, I already have it on my Chrome browser, so I won't remove it. But I will show you once it's installed, what you can do. So let's go ahead and fly over to a sprocket talk post. And in this case, we have flown over to Courtney doggers interview about inbound 2020 a digital event done right. And what we can see is that we now have a social extension right here that we can click on and what's going to happen is it's going to bring up our social platforms that we have now we have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. But in this case, we're going to go ahead and hit Facebook and you're going to see that now we can select from different pages. We have so sprocket talk, and we can select different times from that posting schedule or publish now that we want. And we can come in here and we can start to edit this course, we're not going to actually post this but say something about the article. We can even had some hashtags in here. And you're gonna see down here that we can insert a different image, or we can insert a different video or a video, we can use emojis here, and we can attach content if we so wanted to notice, it's also what audience we want to send it out to on our page. And then another piece of this that we need to pay attention to is that you can add mentioned folks. So for instance, if I wanted to add mentioned HubSpot, I can do at mentioned and then you can grab postbus. So a lot of power inside this tool that is now laying over the article that you're trying to publish. What's nice is now if we wanted to take what we've done all the work that we spent time that we spent, we can make it now go for LinkedIn and you're gonna see LinkedIn, we can now Say publish now for this one. And again, if we want to go ahead and take it and say let's do it for Twitter as well. That's gonna then create a Twitter post here again right on the article. And so what you could do is you could come into your social media, and you could say, hey, I want to share this about better HubSpot dashboards, I want to share about amazing support forms. And I want to share about drag and drop email templates. And now you could go to each one hit your social extension and start to work on the next couple days or next week's content because you have the social extension right on those articles, and I know what you're thinking to Bob. All right, I can use a social Chrome extension from HubSpot to spam the crap out of my social media channels. No Bob, that's not the way it works is that's not hashtag inbound, listen, talk about other things, tips, tricks 60% of the time that isn't your content. Bob 40% you that's what you do. This is a piece of the puzzle not the full puzzle because Bob,

just a tip no He likes to you always talk about yourself at the party. Okay, but as you can see, sharing your content is super easy. By the way, make sure you go check out this interview and make sure you're attend inbound 2020 if you're watching this before September 22, or 23rd Now let's get back to the tutorial. All right happy spotter next steps go download the HubSpot social extension for Chrome. Then set up the post that you want to share over the next couple of days or weeks and leverage your newfound Chrome extension to go beast mode on your social media posting schedule or maybe not beast mode, but at least schedule it quicker and more streamline.
