In this video we're going to talk about the HubSpot, the email your customer reply to address and why the heck it matters. Hey, you know what time it is. Did you know that the HubSpot email tool had the ability to apply a custom reply to email Hey, don't worry if the answer is no many folks who use the tool on a daily basis skip right past this little tiny section. Also, you might be wondering George, what is a reply to email and why would I use it? No worries, I got you. So let's start there. What is a custom reply to address you see, typically when you send out an email and the email recipient, aka the human responds, the message is sent back to the sender's email address. But what if you want the response to be sent to a different inbox? What is one to do? Well, it's easy if you're a HubSpot user that is within HubSpot email tool, you can set a reply to address that's different from the original from address side note this feature is available to all accounts with marketing hub, professional or enterprise. Now with that out of the way, let's dive into the HubSpot email tool and show you exactly how to get it done. Make sure you stick around though to the very end of this video where I share several reasons why you may want to use a customer obliged to email in the first place. Alright, so as you can see we are in the HubSpot email tool and we have gone to settings and you'll see right under here the name from address and then use this as my reply to address but if you want to use a custom reply to address, you can simply uncheck mark this. And now you're going to see reply to address, you do have a little eye that you can hover over tells you if you want replies to go to a different email address to that of the from address, you can set it here. And of course, we will be talking about why you might want to do that a little bit later in this video. But what you can do is simply do the drop down. And now you're going to have a bunch of other emails that are already in your system as far as users and if you've created somebody as a user or want to use a contact owner or something like that, you can but notice here you can also add an email address, what you would do is type the email address that you want in here. So let me go ahead and type one real quick. And as you can see, I put in marketing ideas at sprocket right here and we'll just simply add email address and what happens is it just adds it in there. Now you can also verify Find that that address actually works by clicking on this button. Of course, you're going to put in an email that works because otherwise people wouldn't be able to reply to it. And that would be well, not human. And we always want to do human marketing. The question begs, why would there be some reasons that you might want to use this? Let's continue on in the video. Well, now that you know how to do it in HubSpot, why the heck would you want to do it? What are some real world scenarios for you to look out for number one, use a custom reply to address to send an email from your CEO, you may want to send an email from the CEO to give a high profile impression but you don't want the CEOs inbox to be flooded with all those responses. Trust me when I tell you no CEO has ever wished for more email to be delivered into their inbox. You see, it's likely that they don't have the time to send a response in a timely manner. Anyways, this is where you can set a custom reply to address so that all the replies go to the team that's responsible for monitoring responses. engaging with the humans that now want yes now want to have a conversation with your CEO or your company number two use a customer apply to address to stay organized email sends can cause the sender to receive countless autoresponders like out of office messages and message delivery notification. So set a customer apply to address to separate everyday business emails from responses to those marketing emails that we're sending out. Also, if you send out an email that asks a question like what is your major hurdle when you're dealing with XYZ your customer reply to email might be something like marketing ideas at your company COMM And now you have a ton of future content ideas organized in a reply to email just waiting to be created. Some other reasons you may want to use this functionality are new product releases or avoiding using a no reply email for the Send Email. Remember, best practices is to always send your emails out from an actual human and there you have it.
