What Will You Learn Along The Way?

Analyze Your Web Site's Performance And Key Website Metrics.
Measuring both the quantity and quality of traffic you're getting to your website as a whole or on a page by page basis is super important for the success of your website. Being able to analyze how each of your pages is performing and identify which traffic sources bring in the most website sessions, contacts, and customers over time are priceless.
How Does HubSpot Web Analytics Work?
There are two ways you can view web analytics in HubSpot. One simply navigates to your marketing dashboard and use the dashboards drop-down to select your web analytics dashboard. Second, you can head over to the reports in your main menu and select web analytics tools on the HubSpot analytics tool page.
Web Analytics Dashboard Overview
In this section of the web analytics course, we do a deep dive into the analytics dashboard. We are in our web analytics dashboard and we got here by doing this little drop down and we can either search for web analytics or we can go to standard dashboards and select web analytics.
Dashboard Reports Overview
One of the secrets to making smart decisions is being able to see the data you are collecting as well as knowing what the data means. With that said, let’s dive into what we can measure in your HubSpot analytics dashboard.
How to Use Your Website Data
One of the things I have always joked about when it comes to data is that it is a different language all in itself. This leads me to believe that most of either need an interpreter or, we need to become one ourselves. The other part of this conversation starts with what question am I asking and what data point or points help me answer that question.
Diving Deeper into Web Analytics
If you want to dig deeper than the dashboard allows, you can head over to the web analytics tool under reports in your main dashboard. Once there, you are going to see that you can easily filter your web analytics by date range, and frequency. If you select a rolling date range you get a new time filter that allows you to pick things like last 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, and yes, 365 days.
Upper Website Analytics Overview
In this section of the HubSpot web analytics course, we look at the top portion of your Analytics dashboard. We show you all the things you can view to help you make smart data-driven decisions moving forward.
Heading to The Deepend of The Web Analytics Pool
Are you ready to swim with the pros? Then let's scroll down just a little further on your web analytics tool. Here you will see per page data that allows you to get very granular with your per page strategy moving forward.
Lower Website Analytics Overview
This section allows us to drill down a little bit further. Now, the first thing I will show you in this video is yes we can search for any specific blog post, landing page, or website page, that we're looking for. Once we have the specific page type we need, we do have columns that we can edit. I also show you all the ways you can segment this amazing data treasure chest.
Understanding the web analytics Data like a pro
Let’s dive into each data point you can find in your web analytic columns and explain exactly what they mean. We will be covering numerous data points as well as why these data points are important to you and your companies website success.
Full Website Analytics Overview
Let's do an overview of your entire HubSpot website analytics dashboard. Putting it all together to help you make smart decisions is exactly what this portion of the web analytics course will do for you.
Drilling Down Per Page Analytics
One thing I want to leave you with is this: You can go past your web analytics tool and that is by drilling down into individual pages or post. Make sure that as you're diagnosing, as you're looking at these columns, as these stats, at this data, that you also take time to go ahead and hover over and click on individual pages.
